It is clear that Sharon Feder's life-long commitment to painting is intense and unrelenting. Her oeuvre remains focused on color; painting abstracts, architectural, natural forms, and soulful portraits. Free to explore, Feder gives herself permission to ignore and break rules, as she does with the non-art part of her life. She plays with pushing color and composition into unnatural unions; exploring how to communicate the molecular tuning of atmosphere, shadow, and reflection through paint and color; allowing the imagery to define itself.
